Is the preview free?

Yes. The preview edition is free for early-access members while it lasts.

Which platforms are supported?

The preview is on Windows now. macOS, iOS & iPadOS and Android are coming soon.

On computers, Chronos Studio needs Windows 11 (x64) or a Mac with Apple silicon. Windows 10 and Intel Macs aren’t supported.

Which edition do I need?

Both editions include Chronos Core (generate, chase and convert LTC, MTC and Art-Net timecode), Chronos Link (CDJ and DJ mixer position to SMPTE timecode) and manual backup to a warm spare with one click.

Chronos Stage includes 2 activations. Chronos Studio includes 4 and adds Chronos Cue (timecode-triggered OSC, MIDI, MSC and Art-Net DMX commands) and automatic failover: the backup takes over with no timecode jump. See the pricing page for the full comparison.

Chronos works alongside cue players such as QLab, SCS or MultiPlay rather than replacing them.

What is the Chronos Event Pass?

Seven days of full Chronos Studio (4 activations, automatic failover included) for a one-off payment. It doesn’t renew. If you move to a yearly plan within 30 days of buying a pass, we credit the pass.

Does one licence cover Mac, Windows, iOS and Android?

Yes. Activations count devices running live output at once, on any mix of operating systems. Need more on a subscription? Add extra activations at checkout, at the same flat price on either edition, up to 10 devices in total (Stage: 2 + up to 8, Studio: 4 + up to 6). Chronos Edit, for programming shows offline, is free and doesn’t use an activation.
